Edinburgh Singing Weekend 2019 with Stephen TabernerFriday 11th October to Sunday 13th October 2019 We’re discovering two new venues in Edinburgh this year. After last year’s jaunt around the Old Town, this year we’ll be spending the weekend in the pretty area of Stockbridge. The area’s beautiful Georgian church and the grand hall of the Edinburgh Academy will play host to Stephen’s usual blend of wonderful arrangements, choral savvy, and general foolishness. Saturday night offers an informal get-together in the 1D Below bar at Six Degrees North. The weekend runs from 7.30pm on Friday 11th October to 4.30pm on Sunday 13th October 2019 and costs £130 per person. |

Maxi Martin, the brilliant principal clarinet of the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, joins us for Copland’s dynamic and virtuosic Clarinet Concerto, which was commissioned by jazz clarinettist Benny Goodman. Tchaikovsky’s gorgeous, romantic Souvenir de Florence, originally a String Sextet, concludes the programme in its version for string orchestra. |
