What's on in April?
April begins with Holy Week, and numerous events by the Church - including services, the Labyrinth, and a Walk of Witness. All of which you can find out more about on our Easter Services post.
We continue to host our regular events, with Baby & Toddler returning on the 13th, and karate starting on the 21st, but we also have a range of one off events:
TMI Friday - Atelier Ensemble
April 3rd, 1pm
On April 3rd, we welcome Atelier Ensemble - a Glasgow-based violin, cello & piano trio, exploring music new and old as they perform timeless classical and romantic pieces, uncover lesser-known music, and improvise together.
Donations on the door.
Paul Harrison :The Köln Concert Revisited

Paul Harrison :The Köln Concert Revisited & The American Songbook After at a sold out concert at the Edinburgh Jazz Festival last year, here is another chance to hear a unique jazz concert by three outstanding musicians. One of jazz's artistic milestones was when legendary pianist Keith Jarrett played at the Opera House in Köln in 1975. The recording of The Köln Concert is the best-selling solo album in jazz history,. Now, fifty years on, pianist Paul Harrison pays tribute and reinterprets this masterpiece. The addition of two of the brightest talents of the new generation in Scottish Jazz - BBC Young Jazz Musician winner Ewan Hastie (bass) and drummer Stephen Henderson (Fergus McCreadie Trio) promises to bring fresh perspectives and dynamic interplay to this iconic work of piano jazz. Paul Harrison will open the concert with spontaneous improvisations on melodies from the Great American Songbook, in solo piano and trio format.
An evening with Caro Claire Burke
April 23rd, 7pm
Hosted by Rarebirds books, this event sees novelist Caro Claire Burke come to Stockbridge Church to discuss her exciting debut, Yesteryear.

Armenian Day
April 24th, 7:30pm
A concert to commemorate the 111th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide (1915), featuring Gina McCormack on violin, and Armenian pianist Marianna Abrahamyan.
